Whispers in Italy that Napoli will replace Walter Mazzarri with Gian Piero Gasperini are getting louder.

Mazzarri's future at the San Paolo is in doubt after he refused to commit himself to the Azzurri despite leading them into the Champions League.

After talks between the Coach and President Aurelio De Laurentiis, it is being claimed that Mazzarri will now be dismissed.

The theory being suggested is that the unimpressed Napoli owner will sack the former Sampdoria tactician in favour of hiring Gasperini.

Mazzarri, who is contracted at Napoli until June 2013, may now be left without a club ahead of the new campaign.
