Napoli are working to sign Sampdoria full back Bartosz Bereszynski on a six-month loan deal, reports suggest.

The Partenopei are hungry to win their first Scudetto in over three decades and are looking to pick up a few reinforcements in January, keen to give Luciano Spalletti the right tools to work with. Giovanni Di Lorenzo is a core part of their squad but his backup Alessandro Zanoli may not be ready to jump in as the team work towards the league title.

As reported by Il Mattino, Napoli are currently discussing the idea of signing Bereszynski on a six-month loan deal from Sampdoria, adding an experienced and reliable option to Spalletti’s squad.

Zanoli could also be included in the talks between the two clubs. Another player likely to leave in January is Diego Demme and the Partenopei are interested in picking up Hellas Verona’s Ivan Ilic should he depart.

Bereszynski has made 186 appearances across all competitions for Sampdoria since his arrival in 2017, being a consistent and calm option on the right flank.
