Reports say Napoli will offer Gonzalo Higuain a lucrative new contract before June and will only sell if his €94m buyout clause is met.

The Argentina international set a Serie A scoring record this season, hitting the net 36 times in 35 matches.

There have been rumours of interest from PSG and Chelsea, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Higuain will be offered a new deal shortly.

Vesuviani President Aurelio De Laurentiis will only sell the striker if his €94m buyout clause is met and has arranged a meeting with Higuain’s agent and brother Nicolas Higuain.

The two will meet before June to talk about the future of the forward and discuss a new contract, which is expected to be worth €7m per season until 2020.
