Napoli are reportedly cranking up the pressure on Estudiantes striker Duvan Zapata, beating Sassuolo and QPR.

The Colombian Under-20 international forward had seemed to be very close to QPR in a deal worth £6.3m, but problems have arisen with his work permit.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli aim to take advantage of the situation by sending out one of their transfer experts to Argentina for direct talks with Estudiantes.

Newly-promoted Sassuolo were hoping to snap Zapata up, but it’s reported the Estudiantes directors are no longer going to be in Rome for the August 14 Italy-Argentina friendly.

The planned meeting around that match has therefore been shelved, but Napoli are taking a more pro-active approach.
