Napoli face competition from West Ham United and Wolves for defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, as VfB Stuttgart are asking for €20m.

The Partenopei need a replacement for Kim Min-jae after the €50m transfer to Bayern Munich, more than doubling his price over the course of a year.

With other options considered too expensive, they seem to be setting their sights on Greece international Mavropanos.

However, reports in Germany and England suggest they face competition, because Premier League sides West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in picking up the 25-year-old.

Mavropanos is no stranger to England, having been on Arsenal’s books from 2018 to 2022.

He was sold to Stuttgart for just €4m last summer after an initial loan spell.

Ultimately, Mavropanos made only eight official appearances for the senior Arsenal squad, but has flourished at VfB Stuttgart with eight goals and two assists in 89 matches.

He also has 19 senior caps for Greece.
