Genoa director general Giorgio Perinetti confirms Napoli “like” Mattia Perin but “nothing will happen in January”.

It was reported earlier today that the Partenopei are working on a deal to sign the Italian international, who would arrive in the summer to replace Pepe Reina.

“There has to be contact between the two clubs, and at the moment that hasn’t started,” Perinetti explained on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Perin is definitely a player who Napoli and [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli like. We’d like to keep him for many years, but we know football is made up of transfer dealings.
