Despite Napoli protestations, UEFA have ruled it can go ahead behind closed doors in Catalunya, one of the worst-affected areas by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Italians are still taking a very cautious approach, as Tuttosport notes they will be kept in a ‘bubble’ throughout the journey.

It’s reported the team will be picked up from the tarmac of the airport in Barcelona and driven straight to a hotel that has been bought up entirely by Napoli for the duration of their stay, so will exclusively house their players and staff.

Every player will have his own individual room and they will only leave the hotel in order to be driven to the stadium.

They will then fly back to Naples the same night as the match.

La Repubblica and Il Mattino also note the number of staff allowed to make the journey has been limited to the bare minimum due to the fear of COVID infection.
