Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is reflecting on the future of head coach Rudi Garcia after the team’s poor start, Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sports Italia report.

The Partenopei, who were one of the most electric teams in Europe under Luciano Spalletti last season, currently find themselves fifth in the Serie A table after eight games, picking up 14 points from four wins and two draws.

Garcia’s Napoli have shown some positive signs in the Champions League, beating Braga and suffering a close loss to Real Madrid, but pressure has started to quickly mount on the French coach.

As detailed by Di Marzio and his Sky Sports colleague Massimo Ugolini, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis met with Garcia and the club’s staff today, discussing the future of the project in the Campania capital.

The Partenopei president is now seriously considering dismissing the Frenchman in the coming days, which would allow him to find a replacement over the international break.
