He has been considering the proposal and Tuttosport suggest he’s decided to make the move to the San Paolo.
Matri should therefore sign a five-year contract worth €2.7m per season.
Napoli’s spending spree is not over yet, as La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the club is stepping up its pressure on Liverpool defender Skrtel.
Another of Rafa Benitez’s core players from his time at Anfield, Skrtel would strengthen the back four and has reportedly already given the all-clear to the move.
