Both Serie A sides have been reported in recent weeks as tracking the Netherlands international, with the player and his agent talking up such prospects.

Whilst Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici was reportedly in Amsterdam to scout the 24-year-old, Il Mattino believe that Napoli have stolen an advantage in talks and agreed terms with both the defender and his club.

The Naples publication suggest that the Partenopei are ready to close a deal with Feyenoord worth €6m, and hand the player a four-year contract paying an annual salary of €1.3m.
