Rumours had surfaced that the Stadio San Paolo outfit could go in for Tottenham’s Etienne Capoue, however, it is suggested that Benitez has some doubts about the France international and will look instead to the former Arsenal player.
Song has struggled for playing time since arriving from north London at Camp Nou. It is unclear though, whether the Spanish champions would be willing to let Song go this month.
