Napoli are back in advanced negotiations for right-back Stefan Lainer after RB Salzburg reportedly found a suitable replacement.

The deal was on the verge of completion when the Austrian club pulled the plug last week, claiming they could not afford to lose such an important player.

However, the Corriere dello Sport claims the situation is back on track after Salzburg agreed terms for Darko Todorovic, a Bosnian free agent.

Lainer has not been in pre-season training, officially due to physical problems, but is pushing hard for the transfer to Napoli.
