Reports in the UK suggest that Napoli are interested in signing Marouane Fellaini from Manchester United.

Rumours emerged on Monday that the Belgium international and his agent met with sporting director Riccardo Bigon in Brussels.

Whilst some outlets in Naples first led with this angle, others from the city also then quickly denied it, suggesting Bigon was only stopping in the Belgian city on his way to Germany.

However, a number of newspapers in Britain have picked up on the story and suggest that the Vesuviani’s interest in the 26-year-old is genuine.

Whilst United are believed to be looking for bids in the region of £15m, €19m for Fellaini, it is reported that Napoli are after an initial loan deal, whilst the player’s £100,000, €126,000 weekly salary represents another barrier to any permanent transfer.
