Napoli have declared that Lorenzo Insigne and Allan are not for sale, accusing Gazzetta dello Sport of running ‘the first big hoax of the season’.
La Gazzetta had claimed that Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti was open to letting Allan and Insigne leave for a combined €130m, which would in turn fund deals for Hirving Lozano, James Rodriguez and Kostas Manolas.
However, the club tweeted: “La Gazza writes Ancelotti would have said ‘OK’ to the sales of Allan and Insigne. We call it the first big hoax of the season.

“They aren’t for sale. And no offer worthy of their value has arrived. If they arrive, they will be evaluated.”
