The Nerazzurri had beaten the Catalans 3-1 at the San Siro the previous week and managed to qualify for the Final thanks to a 1-0 defeat at the Camp Nou 11 years ago today.

José Mourinho was in charge of that iconic Inter team that won their first Champions League in 44 years and completed a treble.

The Portuguese tactician has recalled that night with a message on social media.

“Camp Nou. April 28th 2010. The moment when adrenaline and happiness make you a sprinter,” the Special One wrote, receiving thousands of messaged from Inter fans.

Mourinho left Inter after the Champions League Final that same season and former Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo admitted he would never forgive him for meeting Real Madrid President Florentino Perez right after the award ceremony.
