Inter chief Massimo Moratti has criticised Antonio Conte’s behaviour at the end of the Juventus-Genoa match. “Jose Mourinho never did that.”

Coach Conte was left furious at the conclusion of Saturday’s 1-1 draw after his side had an injury-time penalty appeal turned down.

The tactician stormed on to the pitch after the final whistle where he confronted referee Marco Guida.

That reaction saw the Italian win comparisons with the complaints of former Inter tactician Mourinho, but Moratti rejected that idea.

“I’ve never seen Mourinho go and attack a referee like that,” the oil baron noted. “Never.

“Mourinho may have made the handcuff gesture, but I’ve never seen him deal with the refs in that way.”

Conte could now be banned for one or even two games as a result.

Moratti, meanwhile, still believes that his Inter side can finish in the top three this term despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Torino on Sunday.

“I have faith when I see the players and the work the Coach is doing, but it’s something you have to show on the pitch,” he noted.

“Is Diego Milito’s absence weighing on us? I don’t see a problem up front. The midfield and defence were the areas having problems against Toro.”
