As expected, former Inter boss Jose Mourinho has been named as the new manager of Chelsea.

The Portuguese tactician, who led the Beneamata to the treble in 2010, moves back to London after a three-year spell at Real Madrid.

The 50-year-old has signed a four-year contract and replaces Rafael Benitez who will be sitting on the Napoli bench next season.

Mourinho originally joined Chelsea in 2004 after leading Porto to the Champions League crown. He left the club in September 2007.
