Jose Mourinho spoke of his time at Inter and “why not return? I won’t end my career at Chelsea.”

The Special One was at a book event and commented on the Treble-winning campaign.

“Every club I was with represents a chapter,” said Mourinho. “I had two special years at Inter with many emotional moments concentrated into a brief period of time.

The Special One was at a book event and commented on the Treble-winning campaign.

“Every club I was with represents a chapter,” said Mourinho. “I had two special years at Inter with many emotional moments concentrated into a brief period of time.

“I do believe it was a chapter that ended in an extraordinary manner, even better than at Porto.

“I went to Inter in 2008 because Massimo Moratti, the club and all the Inter fans had a dream they had dreamed for almost 50 years.

“So perhaps the first image of the chapter is the start of the dream, the last is a goodbye, but we did it. This is why Inter was truly special for me.

“Would I return? I don’t know. It’s difficult to say because right now if you asked me how many years I will continue to manage, I’d say another 15 years. I am more or less in the middle of my career now, because I’ve had 15 years and in another 15 I’d be 67 years old.

“I think it would be acceptable to have another 15 years. Would I stay another 15 years at Chelsea? I doubt it, because modern football would not allow it. Therefore I won’t end my career at Chelsea, even if I’d like to.

“So could I return to Inter? Why not?”
