The Portuguese Tottenham coach spoke to DAZN ahead of the Champions League Final between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich and feels the German champions’ path has been similar to Inter’s legendary Treble season in 2019-20.

“Oh, it was a long time ago,” Mourinho told the broadcaster. “I think Thomas Müller is the only Bayern survivor from that match…

“Anyway, we felt invincible. We had an incredible path, very similar to Bayern’s this season.

“They score many goals, play very intense football, also because the Bundesliga was the first European competition to resume [after the lockdown].

“This was important to prepare well for the final phase in Lisbon.”

The Portuguese helped Inter overcome Bayern in the Final 10 years ago and remembered kicking away boxes of merchandise at the hotel.

“We had boxes in our hotel with celebratory shirts inside,” he said. “I kicked them. I hate this marketing stuff.

“I’m sure that Bayern and PSG have these kits too, but I hope neither the coach nor the players will see them before the Final."
