Thiago Motta admits he is rooting for Mario Balotelli to do Paris Saint-Germain a favour when Nice host Monaco on Wednesday and return to the Italy squad.

Balotelli scored twice on his Nice debut a fortnight ago before being criticised by the French Press for his subsequent display against Schalke in the Europa League, but Motta believes the striker has what it takes to bounce back in the top-of-the-table Ligue 1 clash.

“I hope Mario has a good game on a personal level, against Monaco,” he is quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.
