It was revealed earlier today that the midfielder had flown back to the UK citing personal problems, having been left out to face Dnipro this evening.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting that Morrison was not given permission to leave, with the Biancocelesti in ritiro.

The ritiro means that the players must stay at the training ground, rather than going home, in order to foster team spirit and turn poor performances around.

Di Marzio’s site reports that Morrison left Formello due to a family problem, but without the approval of the club or Coach Stefano Pioli.

In total, Morrison has played only 135 minutes in all competitions for the Aquile since his summer arrival as a free agent.
