The Englishman was injured during a shock friendly defeat to Vicenza on Saturday and yesterday reports emerged that he might have sustained ankle ligament damage.
However, the 22-year-old responded to worried fans on his Instagram account with reassurances about his fitness.
“I think [I will be back in] one week max, I pray to God,” he wrote.
“[The ankle] feels better today.”
The former West Ham midfielder joined the Biancoceleste on a pre-contract agreement in January and was in sensational pre-season form prior to the setback.
