Catania striker Takayuki Morimoto is relieved that his family are OK after the earthquake in Japan.

The quake, which measured 8.5 in magnitude, triggered a massive tsunami 250 miles north-east of Tokyo.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Morimoto said: "Luckily nothing has happened to my house. Everyone is fine. They felt the shock, but there is no damage.

"We live three hours away from the epicentre by car. I am very happy that my parents are OK."

Morimoto is due to face Sampdoria in Sicily on Sunday afternoon.
