Serie A new boys Novara have signed Takayuki Morimoto from Catania, the northern outfit have confirmed.

The Japanese striker, who made his J-League debut at the age of just 15, has joined Novara in a co-ownership deal.

The Japanese striker, who made his J-League debut at the age of just 15, has joined Novara in a co-ownership deal.

Morimoto, 23, made his Serie A debut for Catania in January 2007, but he has struggled for goals in Serie A.

In 81 League games for the Stadio Massimino outfit, he only managed to score 15 goals.
