Gazzetta dello Sport bore on its Sunday front page that Napoli were working on a deal to swap Arkadiusz Milik with Icardi.

However, its transfer expert Nicolo Schira has since followed up that the Partenopei are still ‘Plan B’ as Juve remain his desired destination.

Despite that allegedly being the case, a transfer to Turin seems very unlikely for several reasons.

Schira also claims the 26-year-old is not ruling out staying at San Siro this summer, even if the Nerazzurri have made it clear that he is surplus to requirements.

With that in mind, agent-wife Wanda would have requested the Beneamata involve him in training workouts and tactical sessions with the first team via lawyers.

The relationship between Icardi and Inter has broken down so much that he has been training alone for the past month.
