Massimo Moratti has promised that Inter will be wise in any moves they make in this summer’s transfer market.

The Nerazzurri have spent €70m on players since winning the League, Cup and European Cup treble in 2010, but have not seen a return in results on the pitch, with many blaming the team’s misguided purchases and sales as the reason.

This summer, though, owner and President Moratti has indicated that the club will be taking a more intelligent approach.

“Our recruitment campaign this summer will be sensible,” briefly commented the oil company owner on Monday to reporters at the end of a Unione Petrolifera meeting he was attending.

Moratti refused to comment further on specific transfer plans. La Beneamata have already secured Rodrigo Palacio from Genoa and have recently been linked with the likes of Matias Silvestre and Sebastian Giovinco.
