“I think the team will face this game in a different way, seeing as they are playing with three strikers,” the President told Sky Sport Italia.
Mateo Kovacic was expected to make his first Serie A start, but is not even on the bench after spraining his ankle.
“Kovacic has this little problem and it is only right to rest him so as to not rush his recovery. We want to get back on our feet and this is a great opportunity.
“There are a thousand reasons behind this crisis. In some games we were damaged by outside forces, while in others we made mistakes that chopped us down.”
This week Moratti gave a vote of confidence to Coach Andrea Stramaccioni.
“It was a normal chat. He is an intelligent guy and a very focused professional. He wants to do more.”
