Riccardo Montolivo’s agent has denied today’s front page news suggesting he rejected a Juventus move so he can wait for Milan in the summer.

The Gazzetta dello Sport splashed the headline this morning, claiming the Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”24″>Fiorentina midfielder – who is out of contract in June – turned down a chance to join the Bianconeri.

“In all honesty, I was surprised and curious when reading this on the front page this morning,” agent Giovanni Branchini told TuttoJuve.

“I can comfortably confirm there have been no developments in the last few days, so reports of Montolivo turning down Juventus are absolutely without foundation or justification.”

Montolivo did reject a contract renewal from Fiorentina, so he will be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Milan in the summer.
