Vincenzo Montella admits his Sampdoria side are lacking “balance” amid a four-game losing streak.

The Blucerchiati are hovering just above the relegation zone, and sold their top scorer, Eder, to Inter in the January transfer window.

“We’ve changed a lot,” Montella acknowledged in his Press conference ahead of the Torino game.

“Certainly, as for most teams, there’s something missing. We’ll work with the players we have, and the difficulty is working with players who have only the been with the group for a few days, but that gives me a lot of motivation.

“I’d like to see the next few games as a new beginning. Right now the team doesn’t have much balance, we have to find that first and then we’ll address other concerns.”

Fabio Quagliarella arrived from the Granata on deadline day, could he face his old club tomorrow?

“I still have to see. I know him as a player, and I’ve always liked him. He has the characteristics of a second striker, but also the instinct and eye for goal to play through the middle.

“Teams and situations change, now we have to grow and find balance.”
