Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella was happy to avoid Napoli in the Europa League semi-final draw, but hopes to face the Partenopei in the final.

Friday morning’s draw pitched the Viola against defending champions Sevilla and Napoli against Ukrainian surprise packages Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Speaking to Viola Channel, Montella revealed he was content with the way the draw had gone.

“I’m happy to have avoided a derby with Napoli, but I hope that the match against the Partenopei is only postponed for a few weeks,” he said.

“We are playing the defending champions who will be the favourites, but if we’ve come this far it’s because we’ve faced and knocked out very strong teams.

“Sevilla have great Europa League experience, they’ve won it three times in the last ten years, but we will do everything possible to reach the final.”

Fiorentina will travel to Spain for the first leg on May 7 before hosting the second leg at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on May 14.
