The Viola boss has admitted that it has been his ambition to follow in the footsteps of Cesare Prandelli, who also went from the Viola to the Azzurri.
“The National Team is a dream for everyone,” he told Rai Sport. “But it is still early for me.
“I think that Prandelli will want to work on a daily basis soon. The National Team has shown the way with promoting young players.
“Prandelli is doing a great job.”
