Sporting director Monchi admits “there’s very big pressure” at Roma but “it’s nice to have new challenges”.
The former goalkeeper was famed for his transfer dealings at Sevilla, but he joined the Giallorossi in 2017.
“It’s different, because here I’ve had to face a lot of new things,” Monchi said on Radio Onda Cero.
“It’s not been easy because there’s very big pressure at Roma, it’s the capital and there are nine radio stations that talk about the club every day.

“I repeat, it’s not been easy but it’s helped me to grow a lot. For every professional it’s nice to have new challenges.”
Both Roma and Sevilla secured their places in the Champions League Quarter-Finals this week, and Monchi was also asked about that.
“I’m happy, for Roma first of all because it’s the club where I’ve been working for 11 months, suffering and struggling at the beginning because it was outside my frame of reference.
“Of course I’m happy for Sevilla too. I am very happy and satisfied because after many years of work I reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time and Roma came back after ten years.
“Meeting Sevilla? We’re both in the Quarter-Finals but I’m not thinking about who we can and can’t meet.
“I just want to enjoy this moment right now.”
