Monaco are prepared to loan out 17-year-old striker Pietro Pellegri in January, with Serie A his likely destination.

The young forward came up through the Genoa youth academy and made a big impact, becoming the first player born in the 21st Century to score in Europe’s top five leagues.

He earned a €21m plus €4m in bonuses move to Monaco in January 2018, but between injuries and competition for places, has made only six competitive appearances for them.

According to beIN Sports, Monaco are ready to loan Pellegri out in January so that he can gain more experience.

The most likely destination would be Serie A, where he has a remarkable tally of three goals in just nine games.
