French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have stepped forward as a possible contender to sign Luca Marrone from Juventus.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici has held initial talks with representatives of the Principality outfit.

Marrone, 23, was expected to leave Turin in some form this summer after appearing in just 15 League games for the club over the last two seasons.

Juve are understood to value the central midfielder at around the €10m figure, although a loan or a co-ownership move has been touted as well.

Marrone, now a former Italian Under-21 international, was mainly used as a centre-back by boss Antonio Conte last term.

A variety of Italian clubs, as well as Everton, have been paired with the former Siena player over the last two months.
