Boca Juniors would like to re-sign the Chilean, though they can't afford the asking price, and now the Washington Post reports that D.C United are also interested.

The franchise is owned by Inter President Erick Thohir, which it’s believed could smooth negotiations.

Any deal would have to be completed by Wednesday, as that’s the MLS transfer and trade deadline.

D.C have lost their last six MLS games in a row, and currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference.

It’s unclear though whether Medel would be interested in the move, and D.C do not currently have any Designated Players, players who can exceed the salary cap.
