Diego Milito says he would happily welcome fellow Argentines Carlos Tevez and Rodrigo Palacio to Italian giants Inter.

The Manchester City man and the Genoa attacker were linked with January moves to the Nerazzurri, but both remained at their present clubs.

“I know that Inter wanted Carlos,” the Argentine international told Radio Rivadavia. “That’s all that I am aware of.

“Tevez is a great player, though, and any side would be lucky to have him at their disposal.

“As for Palacio, he’s doing really well. I would be absolutely delighted if he was to join a big club like Inter.”

While Tevez and Palacio were being paired with Inter, the 32-year-old Milito was seeing his name linked with an exit.

“I know that my agent spoke with Racing to understand if there was a possibility of a return there for me, but that’s it.

“For now I am thinking of Inter. I think I’ll stay here for the next two years, but it depends on many factors.

“If I do return to Racing then I’d want to be in great form in order to help the team.”

Milito, who was the 2011 Bidone d’Oro, has responded to some early criticism this season with 12 goals in 18 Serie A games so far.
