Diego Milito is confident new boss Walter Mazzarri can revive the fortunes of Italian giants Inter.

Mazzarri left Napoli for San Siro last month after Andrea Stramaccioni was axed following a ninth-place finish in Serie A.

“Mazzarri makes you work a lot in pre-season training, but I think it will be important for our fitness later on,” the Argentine told Mediaset.

“He's a good Coach and hopefully he can take us back to the top. Inter have everything they need to do well.”

The South American will probably not be fit enough to start the season after he damaged knee ligaments last term.

“I'm training well,” the former Genoa man added. “I still need a bit of time before I can return to the action, but I'm on the road back.”
