Lazio’s new arrival Sergej Milinkovic-Savic spoke of the ‘goose bumps’ he had when making his debut in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Biancocelesti won the first leg of their Playoff with Bayer Leverkusen 1-0, and the Serbian came on in the second half to take his Stadio Olimpico bow.

“I had goose bumps when the Coach told me to start warming up,” he told Serbian outlet Sport.

“Fortunately, we also got the win against Bayer Leverkusen.

“It still hasn’t sunk in what’s going on, everything is happening so fast.

“I immediately had the chance to play and now Bologna come to the Olimpico on Saturday.

“I knew I would be on the bench against Leverkusen, the rest came spontaneously.

“It was a fantastic feeling, even stronger than when I heard the Champions League anthem, something that never happened to me with my former teams.

“For the return leg we have a slight advantage, but it's still an advantage.”
