Christian Pulisic has hit the ground running with Milan and his work in the win over Torino saw widespread praise from the Italian press.

The 24-year-old American winger joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea last month in a deal worth around €20m, adding an intriguing and marketable asset to Stefano Pioli’s squad.  

Pulisic impressed in his competitive debut with Milan, scoring the second goal in their 2-0 win over Bologna, and he did not disappoint in his second outing, exciting Rossoneri supporters.

The American forward shined at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, scoring the opening goal, completing 25 of his 26 passes and winning three ground duels, earning praise from the press.

La Gazzetta dello Sport took stock of Pulisic’s start with Milan, praising his immediate impact and ability to work with his new teammates, writing: “He won’t advertise in gyms, but he commands with technique and speed. He started and closed the first goal, freed Leao, duetted with Giroud. Super.

“Two goals in two matches, if in the friendlies he had not convinced, now… And to think he’s also playing in a role he doesn’t really like.”

Corriere dello Sport were equally impressed with the 24-year-old American winger, commenting: “He is the real top purchase of Milan’s summer. Added value for Pioli.”

TMW suggested that Pulisic has had the perfect start to life with the Rossoneri, writing: “There could be no better impact on Serie A for the American trequartista, two games, two goals, he is already a team man. His teammates look for him, he sacrifices himself and draws football.”
