“We have the opportunity to create a sense of consistency, to build a series of results and we want to play with intensity,” Massara told Sky Sport Italia.
Inevitably, he was asked about the bidding war between Milan, Bologna and Napoli for Ibrahimovic, who is a free agent after his LA Galaxy contract expired.
“There is no news because there is no real negotiation process. Ibrahimovic is evaluating his options, as are we, so we’re all waiting.”
Similarly, Massara rejected suggestions Piatek will be sold in January if he doesn’t end his scoring drought.
“We do not intend to put Piatek on the market. We have faith in Krzysztof, so does the coach, he is working for the team and we’re sure he’ll get back to scoring goals soon.”
There were reports today that Giacomo Bonaventura was of interest to Roma and Fiorentina for next season, as his contract expires in June.
“Bonaventura is practically one of the family at Milan, he has been here for many years and we are very happy to see him getting back to full fitness after such a long time out. As for his contract, there is time to discuss all that.”
