Milan offer €20m for Alessio Romagnoli, but Roma’s refusal to drop below €30m might push them to Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic.

The Rossoneri have chosen 20-year-old Romagnoli as the ideal player to build their defence around for the future, as he already worked with Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic during his loan at Sampdoria.

A series of proposals have been rejected and Sky Sport Italia claim the latest bid was also turned down, as Roma want not a cent less than €30m.

They may well have found one in Torino centre-back Maksimovic, who is also of interest to Napoli.

It’s believed the Partenopei put forward €12m plus €3m in performance-related bonuses for the Serbian, but Toro turned it down.
