According to reports, Alessandro Buongiorno was not the only Torino player that Milan were targeting, as they asked for Samuele Ricci too.

The Rossoneri saw their proposals for Italy international central defender Buongiorno rebuffed during the January transfer window.

He then sustained a serious shoulder injury that will keep him out for at least a month, but the San Siro giants are expected to go back in for him over the summer.

Tuttomercatoweb insist he was not the only Torino player to be on Milan’s wish-list, both in January and for next season.

Midfielder Ricci is also said to be on their radar and seen as the heir to Rade Krunic.

The 22-year-old had been wanted by Maurizio Sarri at Lazio last summer, but here too Torino put up a wall and refused to lower their asking price.

Ricci is under contract with Toro until June 2026 and Milan could lower the cost by including striker Lorenzo Colombo as part of an exchange deal.

A product of the Empoli youth academy, Ricci scored one goal and provided two assists in 18 Serie A appearances this season.
