There could be good news for Milan, because Charles De Ketelaere is not in the Club Brugge squad for their first Jupiler Pro League match of the season.

The Belgian club is set to play KRC Genk tomorrow at the beginning of their domestic campaign, so coach Carl Hoefkens named his 21-man squad for the game.

Curiously, De Ketelaere was not included in the list, nor was he named among the group of players who are currently out injured.

Milan have made what they claim is a final offer for the creative midfielder, specifically €30m plus another €2m in performance-related bonuses.

Club Brugge are holding out for €35m, but it seems as if the situation is reaching an impasse with De Ketelaere left out of the squad.

He was already left on the bench for the entirety of their Belgian Supercup victory over KAA Gent on July 17.

The 21-year-old has made it clear to his side that he wants to move on and take this step with Milan, while alternatives Leeds United have already moved on to other targets.

2 thought on “Milan target De Ketelaere out of Brugge squad”
  1. Leeds have not “moved on to other targets”. They are still very much in the hunt for De Ketelaere.

  2. This exclusion means that they has finally given up and ready to let him go. To Milan? Not necessarily. They will let him go to the highest bidder, which would force Milan to up their bid or lose him to other team.
