Milan have officially appointed James Murray as their new ‘Chief of Staff’, following in the footsteps of fellow Arsenal old boy Ivan Gazidis.

Murray arrives from Arsenal, with Milan’s official website explaining he will ‘report directly’ to Gazidis [pictured], who made the move last year.

He is joined at San Siro by Casper Stylsvig, who becomes the Rossoneri’s Chief Revenue Officer after spells at Fulham, Manchester United and Barcelona.

“They both are outstanding leaders with high-level skills and deep knowledge of football environment.

“Together with our existing team, they will help drive the club forward, with the excellence and passion that this great club deserves.”

The appointments are another sign of Elliott Management’s commitment to running the Diavolo, despite fears they would be treated as an asset to sell on.
