Catania have revealed that Milan have two more days to sign Maxi Lopez – otherwise they’ll sell him to another club.

The Rossoneri have agreed a deal with the Sicilian outfit for the striker, but they’ll only take him if they fail to net Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.

The Tevez deal has hit complications though as talks with the Premiership club over the terms of the move continue.

While Milan are prepared to wait for Tevez, Catania don’t seem ready to wait for the Italian champions.

“There is an agreement that depends on certain factors,” Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco told Sky Sport Italia.

“We’ll wait until December 31, but then other clubs will be given space to negotiate. Milan have another two days, then I think he’ll go elsewhere.

“Lopez is a strong player and even he doesn’t know his potential as a true centre-forward,” the official continued.

“The fact that we made him available to Milan saw other clubs come forward. There is one other Italian outfit and two foreign sides after him.

“We’ll wait a few days and then we’ll see what happens.”

It’s understood that Fiorentina are considering making a move for the former Barcelona player as a replacement for the Genoa-bound Alberto Gilardino.
