Adriano Galliani has been confirmed as Milan general manager after a meeting with President Silvio Berlusconi. “Here for life.”
There had been reports Galliani, who is Vice-President, general manager and transfer guru, would be pushed aside to make way for Berlusconi’s daughter Barbara.
It was also suggested Paris Saint-Germain were interested in making him an offer.
Galliani requested a face-to-face meeting, which was held today at Berlusconi’s Arcore villa for over two hours.
“Silvio Berlusconi will be my President for life,” declared Galliani to journalists as he left the encounter.
“He is the best in the world and there is no truth in these rumours about PSG or any other club. If I stay in football, then it will only be at Milan. We've been working together for 34 years.
“There will be no official statement on the club website, nor any further comments. I’ll see you all tomorrow in Verona.”
Milan will play Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday at 14.00 GMT.
