Milan have approached Schalke 04 for centre-back Matija Nastasic, as Dejan Lovren of Liverpool is too expensive, claim Sportitalia.
According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Rossoneri are using agent Fali Ramadani to help negotiate a deal with the German club.
Schalke bought Nastasic from Manchester City in 2015 for €9.5m following a six-month loan deal, but he already has Serie A experience from the 2011-12 campaign at Fiorentina.
The Serbia international is 26 years old and can play at left-back as well as central defence.
