Sinisa Mihajlovic has admitted that he still hopes of one day becoming the Coach of Italian giants Inter.

“I was close to the Nerazzurri bench in the past, something didn’t quite click, but I’m still happy with how things turned out,” stated the current Serbia tactician.

“I do hope to train Inter one day though as that would be a dream for me – it would be the pinnacle of my career.”

The 43-year-old spent two years with Inter as a player before retiring in the summer of 2006. He then became Roberto Mancini’s assistant at San Siro.

The former midfielder and central defender started his own coaching career in November 2008 at Bologna. He had subsequent spells at Catania and Fiorentina.

He was targeted by Inter in the summer of 2011, but decided to commit his future to the Viola. He was sacked in the following November.
