The tactician is being paired with the Serie A duo as there are doubts over the futures of Delio Rossi and Vladimir Petkovic.
“It would not be correct to talk about Sampdoria and Lazio,” the 44-year-old commented on Monday morning.
“Both of those teams still have a Coach and I’m the national boss of Serbia.
“I’m waiting for a signal from my Federation as my contract expires at the end of the month. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
