Sinisa Mihajlovic has considered how his role as a Coach is ‘crazy’ and how it differs in mindset and approach from being a player.
The former defender is currently on the Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”3″>Sampdoria bench, his fifth outright role as a manager since retiring from the playing side of the sport in 2006.

The former defender is currently on the Sampdoria bench, his fifth outright role as a manager since retiring from the playing side of the sport in 2006.
With six years of experience on the other side of the game now, the 45-year-old is pretty clear on the concept of the position.
“Our job is crazy, sometimes you do everything and it is like you have done nothing,” explained Mihajlovic to reporters in support of a book launched by Dan Peterson this week [pictured].
“When you play, you only think about yourself, as a Coach, you have to think about everyone. Footballers are like children, you have to explain things to them and you cannot treat them in the same way, with the same methods.
“To each you need to know to relate differently, whilst first you have to understand them. It’s very important to talk with them individually and find the right medicine to stimulate them.
“But there is not one thing that works for everyone.”
